Pigs and rabbits – Capertee – 4wd required

  • Feral Pig
  • Capertee NSW
  • This position has been filled

Hi, we have 1000 acres at Capertee.

Access requires a 4WD.

It’s part old unused paddocks and part bush site that is bordered by the Capertee and Gardens of Stone National parks and the Mugii Murum-ban State Conservation Area.

We have seen large pigs and piglets and rabbits on the property.

National parks and local land services do 2x yearly aerial shooting but we are still seeing pests.

Our goal for the property is to re-wild it.

We can see pigs and rabbits eating and digging away tree roots in the creek beds (Gap creek and Genowlan creek are ephemeral creeks which are mostly dry across our property).

We would be open to shooters visiting to help control these pests.

This job would suit people with a 4wd and who like camping.

There are plenty of places to camp.

There is no electricity or water on our site yet unfortunately.

You will need to bring water with you to drink, shower and wash up.

There is a small shack for shelter if preferred which has a fireplace and gas bbq and essentials like crockery, cutlery, pots etc.

The daytime views are quite spectacular around our block of Mount Genowlan, Mount Airly, and Point Hatteras.

Our property is about 15 min from Capertee.

There’s terrific bushwalks nearby also.

Thank you for you interest!
