“We currently have our third shooter here. The program is working well for us – every pest animal taken is one less, so that in itself is a positive. Our volunteers have all been good fellas. I know it is expensive for them to take part, so we appreciate their efforts. There are still plenty of pest animals out there, so culling here will be an ongoing project. The total tally so far is edging up towards the thousand mark, with thousands more to go. The program set-up (online) seems good and we have had enough responses to be able to select those shooters who sound most suitable. We haven’t had to reactivate the listing so far, and I think the working principle of the scheme is very good”.
